Qlik Talend Cloud came out which is an integrated solution designed to enhance data trust and accessibility for AI value creation at scale.

Cloudera | Cloudera Unveils New Observability Offerings for On-Premises and Public Cloud Data Centers
Cloudera announced two new offerings for their Observability Premium platform designed to simplify and automate platform administration for both on-prem and hyperscale data centers.
Real time monitoring, advanced financial governance (FinOps), automated actions, and data observability which gives visibility into resource usage and cost.
Pretty cool announcement to unify views of costs of IT.
If you read back through Tech News and you and I have had a conversation, you’ll know that I’ve called Identity Management aka ISPM (Identity Security Posture Management) the next thing to solve for this coming year for CISO’s.
This update from Okta comes out formally with their ISPM solution. It identifies vulnerabilities and security gaps, providing continuous analysis and compliance reporting.
Available in early access, Okta AI detects and responds to threats in real time for users.
Can Okta bounce back as the preferred IDaaS provider in the market?
Mimecast has launched Human Risk Management (HRM) as a platform to mitigate risks caused by employee mistakes and user errors.

Tonkean | Tonkean Releases Enterprise Copilot, End-to-End AI and Orchestration To Eliminate Busywork
A new AI powered orchestration tool, Tonkean is designed to eliminate busywork for internal teams like procurement, legal, and IT.
It includes an AI Front Door, AI-enhanced forms, in-line AI Q&A, human-in-the-loop collaboration (new phrase), and end-to-end integration.
Helps resolve internal requests faster apparently.

Key Innovations are new offerings called DevOps Aviator, Fortify Aviator, Content Aviator, Thrust Studio 🤣, and Cloud for Government.
OpenText is emphasizing the importance of AI and cloud as strategic drivers of business transformation. They’re focusing on DevSecOps and securing business critical applications.
I’ve had great interactions with OpenText in the past. Good reviews from this end.

Includes two new offerings for investigating files, hashes, and URL’s.
Aims to alleviate security ops constraints and mitigate malware risks to businesses.
Red Hat has introduced new features and improvements to its hybrid cloud platform including Advanced Cluster Security for Cloud.
Virtualization Migration Assessment: Key for those evaluating their current hypervisor strategy, this is a new tool to help businesses understand and move away from outdated virtualization solutions with a thorough risk assessment process.
Key Features that my buddies Manny and Murad know way more about than me include: Metro DR, Hot-add CPU, Multi-cluster Virtualization Monitoring, and image-based updates for single-node OpenShift.
Risk and Exposure Management (REM) solution on Azure
Two new integrations with Copilot for Security.
REM provides businesses with an automated, multi-factor risk prioritization approach to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen security posture across their attack surface.
GKE Extended Support now available for clusters, allowing them to remain supported for up to 24 months for a specific minor version.
Extended support period incurs an additional fee of $0.50 per cluster per hour on top of the standard fee of $0.10 per cluster per hour.
Clusters must meet certain eligibility requirements.
Ops4AI Lab is the industry’s first multivendor lab for validating AI Data Center solutions and automated operations.
Juniper’s AI-Native Networking Platform includes AI-optimized switches, routes, firewalls, and software.
Tons of new enhancements to the product.

Reported that 96% of organizations now use GenAI applications, up from 74% in 2023.
46% of data policy violations involve proprietary source code and 35% involve regulated data.
DLP is on the rise. 75% of organizations are now using DLP solutions to manage GenAI data risks.
Troubles continue for Ivanti.
Critical SQL injection (CVE-2024-37381) that allows for RCE.
Released Hotfix 1 to address the issue. As a workaround, restricting access to EPM web console to trusted users and networks is recommended until the patch is applied.
Ivanti hasn’t seen any active exploits yet.
