OEM News & Updates

  • Sorry I missed this one last week. Since I did, I thought it would be beneficial to take a few extra sentences and tell you more about ExtraHop. If you don't know about ExtraHop, make 2023 the time you learn about it if you run an enterprise network. ExtraHop is a great product because it provides real-time visibility and analytics for network traffic. This allows organizations to quickly identify and troubleshoot performance issues, security threats, and compliance violations. It uses AI / ML to detect anomalies and provide intelligent alerts which helps to reduce the time, effort, and attention required to identify and resolve problems in the network. ExtraHop also offers a variety of integrations with other 3rd parties, such as incident management tools and systems, enterprise detection and response platforms, and cloud service providers. It's super easy to incorporate ExtraHop into existing workflows and many customers even start to use the word, "ExtraHop" as a verb, as in, "hey Dave, go ExtraHop that problem we're seeing in the network". It's a super cool platform that I believe is impactful to the modern enterprise for many reasons today. Don't sleep on this company!

If you are an IT professional looking to understand more about the cyber landscape, the IT Harvest Analyst Dashboard just may be what you're looking for. It contains a wealth of knowledge on vendors and what's happening in the space. You can view things like country funding, vendor categorization and quantity of vendors by category.... it's awesome. The search yields impressive results and you can see how vendors have grown over time, too. I particularly like the news feed section, and, it's got great training and enablement built in. Full Press Release here.

Here's a quick snapshot of some of the vendors I'm following as we enter into 2023. In particular, I'm looking heavily into a few areas...I really liked this feature from the dashboard as it shows me where I might want to focus in on a bit more in 2023 writing!

Cool watchlist with relevant details / info at a glance.

Lastly, If you're celebrating Hanukkah or Christmas this week, I hope you have a wonderful time with friends and family. It's been a great year and we all have so much to be grateful for. Take time to reflect on that, and, enjoy your weekend
