Friday Tech News

Insights & Trends in Enterprise Technology | 11/8/2024

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Friday Tech News!

I hope you’ve had a great week despite the usual DLS changeover. Logo this week created using ChatGPT. Impressive results and these things are just getting better and better. What do you think? Should this one be the official one? I think so.

This week saw some nice announcements across AI with the release of lots of Agents into the workforce and of course, we had some noteworthy acquisitions, largely led by CrowdStrike with Adaptive Shield.

In the “Posture Management” discussion, CrowdStrike’s platform now has a leg up. Will we see other exits by AppOmni, Obsidian, etc.? I think so. Remember, Posture Management is broken up into several components (a lot of the time mixed in with CNAPP)

All the PM’s I can think of

I’m curious if we’ll see other trends around Network Security Posture Management, Infrastructure, Code, and so on and so forth. I’m sure Gartner or somebody else (maybe even me) will coin something new and emerging soon.

Anyway, if you’re doing anything fun this weekend, I wish you a wonderful time. If you’re recharging and staying at home, enjoy that too. I’ll be out running on Saturday and hanging with the family.

Enjoy the weekend, stay physically and digitally safe!
