OEM News & Updates 📰

Microsoft | Copilot for Work

  • General Availability went live this week. CoPilot can help users create content, automate workflows, and enhance their skills. It’s available to Enterprise customers and can be purchased through various MSFT licensing vehicles.

  • HashiCorp unveiled a new feature for its HCP Vault service. It’s called “Multi Secondary performance replication” and it allows users to replicate data across multiple regions and cloud providers for HA, DR, and geo-performance. It’s available for Enterprise customers on AWS and Azure today.

  • New solution from Darktrace called Darktrace/Cloud aims to provide real-time cyber resilience for cloud environments. It’s based off their self learning AI and provides comprehensive visibility into cloud architectures, real-time cloud native threat detection and response, and prioritized recommendations and actions you should take. It’s available on the AWS marketplace today.

  • I think this is pretty cool. The networking battle continues between Aviatrix and Prosimo. Prosimo might have just taken an edge with this release though as it’ll do a ton of things for you, including allowing you to do chargeback to application teams based on traffic usage, resources, and cloud-native identities.

  • Automated Tagging from Immuta with Immuta Discover. It enables data teams to establish and maintain highly accurate metadata for the primary purpose of data control, monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

  • In the world of backup and ransomware prevention, I’m seeing Cohesity take a more data centric approach. Thus, this partnership is key. This new integration enables businesses to derive analytical insights from on-prem and cloud data while maintaining data sovereignty and compliance requirements.

  • Cool announcement and partnership from ExtraHop and NetSkope. This lets you inspect Netskope data in the Reveal(x) platform from EH.

  • Gloo Mesh Core is an open source kubernetes native service mesh management platform. It is aimed to simplify installation, config, and operation of Istio service mesh across clusters, regions, and clouds.

  • Mend Enterprise allows businesses to automate the discovery, analysis, and remediation of software dependencies across their apps and environments. It also provides features such as dependency health monitoring, vuln scanning, license compliance, and policy enforcement.

  • Worthy of a read. NetApp ONTAP 10 came out which provides enhanced performance, security, and efficiency for hybrid cloud workloads. They also announced NetApp Cloud Manager and NetApp Spot Wave which optimizes the performance of big data and analytics apps on kubernetes.

  • This partnership will combine NetBackup and Enterprise Vault solutions with Semperis’ Active Directory Forest Recovery and Directory Services Protector solutions. It aims to help enterprises recover from ransomware attacks, prevent data loss, and enhance compliance.

  • Honeycomb Kubernetes Agent simplifies the collection and analysis of Kubernetes data. It also announced Kubernetes Navigator which provides a visual and interactive way to troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and workloads.

  • I found this + the Forrester article interesting. AI and GenAI will become super important in the Enterprise and modern SMB alike. How are you putting frameworks, reference architectures, and other controls in place for the safe adoption of these technologies?

  • Proofpoint has acquired Tessian, a Massachusetts based cybersecurity platform that offers solutions such as cloud driven email security and threat protection.

    • Last acquisition by Proofpoint was Illusive in December of 2022

  • Dig is an Israel based cybersecurity platform that provides solutions such as DSPM and data detection response for sectors including retail and finance.

  • Reminder, PANW’s last acquisitions were in fall of 2022 and included Cider and Apiiro.

  • It appears they’re trying to offer every point solution the market has to offer from code to cloud.

  • Anthropic is a California based AI safety and research company that researches and developers generative AI systems for individuals and businesses.

  • Graylog is a Texas based open-source log management platform that offers solutions such as threat detection and API security for businesses.

  • Chainguard is a Washington based open-source platform that offers solutions such as supply chain security and risk management for businesses.

  • AirTrack is an Australia based SaaS platform that offers solutions such as analytics, data collections, and asset management for businesses.

  • Jeli is a California based SaaS platform that provides solutions including incident management and analysis for businesses.
