OEM News & Updates 📰

  • They’ve combined the benefits of SDWAN and SASE in a single cloud based service. Aryaka is a great product from what I’m told but I’ve never had any experience in working / seeing them in the wild.

  • Cloud marketplaces are the way of the future for deployment of software. Good to see from Ermetic - definitely a product to watch in the CNAPP space.

  • Rubrik AI Powered Cyber Recovery combines the advantages of SDWAN and SASE to provide a cloud-based service that can restore critical data and vms with minimal data loss and downtime. It uses LLMs to generate recommended task lists and guided workflows that simplify the recovery process for administrators, which also helps with making decisions in a timely fashion.

  • Honestly no idea what to make of this. They claim that the partnership will delivery the industry’s most complete hybrid cloud solution platform to simplify customer operations, but to me it adds confusion in the product portfolio. What’s happening to Hyperflex?

  • Seeq and Databricks join forces to enable customers to easily access, process, and analyze time series data from industrial assets in a cloud based service.

  • Enhanced security, privacy, performance, and customization features for businesses that want to use ChatGPT for various tasks and workflows. It’ll also allow you to own and control your data, manage users and usage, and access unlimited and faster GPT-4 models. I’m interested in talking to anyone who’s going to buy in!

  • Meter, a NaaS provider has partnered with Cloudflare here to launch Meter DNS Security, a content filtering tool for enterprises leveraging Cloudflares security Engine with Meter’s hardware etc…

  • New from Tenable, it’s a DAST feature that allows users to scan web apps and APIs for vulnerabilities. Great enhancement to the platform if you’re a customer of theirs today. THe feature enables users to set up new scans easily, discover known vulnerabilities and cyber hygiene issues quickly, and identify all web apps and APIs owned by an organization.

  • Domo AI is a suite of tools and services that enables users to easily build, deploy, and manage AI and ML models on the Domo platform. It offers a low-code/no-code approach that simplifies that process of creating and applying AI and ML models to various business scenarios (forecasting, anomaly detection, sentiment analysis) and it also provides a transparent environment that allows users to share, review, and improve their models with other stakeholders.

  • Exciting from Kubecost. Kubecost Cloud is a cloud based service that enables users to monitor and control their K8s spending across multiple clusters, cloud, and regions. It also integrates with various platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, OpenShift, Rancher, and more. It’s a unique and innovative solution that addresses the challenges of managing k8s costs in a complex and dynamic environment.

  • The integration here allows users to extend their CMDB to include application data such as dependencies, performance, and health. The integration also enables users to automate the discovery and mapping of applications and their components, as well as synchronize the data between Bionic and SNOW. Very exciting stuff from Bionic.

Google Cloud Next Updates & Awards

Articles I Liked This Week 💡

  • Favorite article of the week. Few key takeaways are that CNAPP’s are critical - 75% of orgs surveyed have implemented or planned to implement them in their cloud environments.

  • Security teams face real significant challenges with prioritization, DevOps integration, and IR.

  • Misconfigurations remain a top issue and concern for a lot of the folks who are boots on the ground

  • Good to see OpenAI’s announcement this week with more control over their application for enterprise users. Be careful!

Tech Funding & M&A 💸

  • Rockset is a California based search and analytics database that enables developers to index and process queries.

  • Fig is a California based SaaS platform that enables developers to autocomplete their code from the command line.

Cyberillium | CYE Acquires Baseline
