OEM News & Updates 📰
Y’all know I’m a huge fan of vulnerability remediation, Cyberstarts, and Dazz, right? Merav was even gracious enough to grant me an interview a year or so ago which you can find here.
ReversingLabs is known for File and Software Security.
Integration into Spectra Intelligence Platform: RL’s Spectra Intelligence Platform will be integrated into Dazz’s platform. This will provide for advanced context for faster vulnerability prioritization and remediation.
Currently in private preview for Dazz customers.
I’m a fan of what Permiso is doing as a platform. Check them out. This is probably useful 🙂.
Privacy being in my opinion, the utmost concern here, I think it’s smart to delay and test further until both users and market sentiments adjust to being recorded full time.
Interesting to see as this comes in the form of Credits. I believe there will only be a few main players in this space and these startups will be gobbled up much like we see in cybersecurity.
Companies I think will vie for dominance in the AI space in the coming years are:
NVIDIA
Apple
OpenAI
Google
Anthropic
Hugging Face
Cohere
Significant growth compared to late 2023 where they reported $1.6B.
$200M comes from MSFT Azure AI Models.
Anthropic | Anthropic Claude 3.5 Sonnet AI announced
Lastest and most powerful AI model from Anthropic.
Boasts improvement in speed, understanding nuance, humor, complex instructions, and high-quality content creation with a natural tone. Impressive.
Can also write, edit, and execute code.
Introducing the “Artifacts” feature, which allows users to generate and interact with text documents or code in real time.
The arms race between AI vendors is heating up with Anthropic beating Google and OpenAI in a performance test.
Enhanced security of multi-cloud environments, which, most places are today like it or not.
Expect it as a line item in the popular platform / new module.
Integration promises improved security and scalability across network and application layers with comprehensive L7 inspection and network segmentation from L3-L7.

New feature alert! This will automate the onboarding process and reduce time and complexity end users face.
Significant advancement in securing identity and managing them afterwards.
Expected to cut mapping time by 70%.
Address challenge of managing tons of apps.
Available by June 30th at no charge for users of Identity Security Cloud Business and Business Plus.
Knowbe4 has collaborated with Microsoft on the Phishing Alert Button, also known now as your favorite new TLA, the PAB.
The PAB is integrated into Outlook Home Ribbon for single click usage.
Available across versions of Outlook including for web.
Showcases who MSFT likes in the learning / training space for EU awareness IMHO.
Yet again, I’m talking about DB.
Alation Open Data Quality Initiative aims to increase data reliability and streamline compliance through improved data governance and lineage visibility.
New tools like Trust Flags, Impact Analysis, and Comprehensive Data Profiling are aimed at ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
This collab will give users a single source of truth for high quality, AI-ready data. This will then help in smoother adoption of the Data Intelligence Platform overall.
Big fan of this team. I think the Datadog platform is unique and offers a best-in-class approach to observability and security for the cloud.
New from Datadog comes App Builder. App Builder is a low code dev tool for creating self-service apps and integrating them into monitoring stacks. The Low Code platform should be smart and intuitive to use, offering users efficiency gains with prebuilt UI components, blueprints, connections, and custom JavaScript support.
Huge amount of integrations. App Builder includes connections to Datadog sources and 550+ actions for various tools and platforms.
Also from Datadog this week, check this out.0

AI models are locally run on developer’s device.
Some cool feature updates include the release of the screenshot tool formerly known as web capture.
If you aren’t using Edge, you should seriously give it a try. Copilot is super helpful and built in.

Great insights, very interesting read especially with claims of most of this work not being in production yet.
Anyone ever tried canceling adobe? Hard work.
The Register | Nearly 20% of SQL Servers running have passed end of support
