Bottom Line: As you focus on improving your business through digital initiatives, my commitment is to keep you informed of the fast-paced changes and trends taking place so that you can plan ahead and stay ahead of the game.

Key areas of focus for me are:

  1. Cloud Computing, Security, Trends

OEM News & Updates 📰

We had 34 announcements last week across the industry as opposed to 3 this week.

  • Bringing the power of AI into the Snowflake Data Cloud, this will be a great partnership for customers to innovate on top of.

  • New connectors for GPT3 and other AI tooling within Qliks application. Should help with enhanced data literacy and decision making.

  • Cloud Native data protection against multiple providers is a great thing. I see a lot of NetApp deployments going into the cloud so this is a great announcement from NetApp.

Articles I Liked This Week 💡

  • FinOpsX was last week with some huge announcements. I hope to see more companies adopt new and emerging best practices from a FinOps perspective such as using AI tooling and services.

  • The vulnerability only impacts certain Cisco Nexus 9K lines only if they are in ACI mode, are part of a Multi-Site topology, have CloudSec encryption feature enabled, and are running firmware 14.0 or later releases.

  • CalpysoAI just raised a round to help companies understand and govern AI use in the enterprise today. These types of tools are going to keep evolving and I’m curious to see how other providers in the AI space will use AI to combat these types of threats.

  • I liked this article because it offers great practical advice, one of the main points being to enable automation in killing under utilized resources. Automation is a must these days and if you aren’t thinking about it from the start you might want to give me a call 🙂.

  • Tracking these vendors for sure, but good to see some new and emerging companies I had not heard of making this list. It’s by no means extensive so if you have any questions, reach out and let me know.

  • I liked this article because it’s a hot topic in Cybersecurity. I thought the article offered practical advice and options for both new practitioners and those who are red teaming against generative AI use in the enterprise.

Tech Funding & M&A 💸

  • Preflight is an Illinois based test automation platform specializing in low code test automation.
