Good morning and Happy End of 2023!

Wow, it’s been quite a fun-filled and fast paced year. While I took last week off, I wanted to just take a moment to express my gratitude for your readership.

I started this year off on a new platform with 0 subscribers and am finishing the year off with over 400 of you who value this work. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your attention and 4 minutes of reading every Friday morning 🙂.

I spent the holidays with family and friends and got some much-needed R&R. I hope you did as well! As we look forward into next year, I wish you and your loved ones nothing but safety, success, and lots of life defining awesome moments.

OEM News & Updates 📰

  • AWS Security Hub has new contolrs. The new ones cover additional services such as FSx and AWS Private Certificate Authority, as well as existing services like EC2, EKS, and S3.

  • Both companies will collaborate to launch new AI Powered features across HashiCorp’s product line built using Vertex AI.

  • Volumez provides persistent block storage on AWS and Anodot provides autonomous business monitoring and analytics. It’ll provide a secure and cost effective way for storage in the cloud.

  • ShardSecure and Wasabi’s partnership provides customers with a secure and cost-effective option for storing data in the cloud. It’ll also help prevent data theft, leaks, ransomware, and compliance violations.

  • This is about FSO from Cisco in AWS. The new metrics enable customers to connect application performance and critical business KPI’s such as customer conversion rates and revenue impact for faster and better decision making.

  • This provides a unified and contextual code-to-cloud application security platform (that is if you aren’t buying Dazz). Code-to-cloud was coined by Dazz and is being adopted heavily in the industry.

  • Foglight will help customers manage, monitor, and control their data and IT infrastructure in the cloud and in hybrid systems.

  • End of an era. Did anyone else see it coming? This is a massive strain and test to customers. If you need help switching your licensing model, don’t hesitate to reach out.

  • Cool announcement from GitLab. They’re doing browser based DAST to scan modern web apps that use JavaScript heavily.

  • Samooha is a California based SaaS platform that enables developers to build data collaboration analysis templates for sectors such as healthcare and finance.

  • UltimateSuite is a Czech Republic based AI powered platform that provides solutions such as task mining and productivity optimization for enterprises.

  • Spiff is a Utah-based sales commission platform that provides solutions including incentive compensation and team management for businesses.

  • Spera is a California based cybersecurity platform that offers solutions such as continuous protection, security posture management, and threat detection for businesses.

  • Mozaic Data is a California based SaaS platform that enables users to build, deploy, and manage domain-centric cloud data.

  • CalypsoAI is a Washington DC based GenAI platform that offers LLM-powered solutions such as data loss prevention and malicious code detection for businesses.

  • Isovalent is a California based networking platform that provides solutions such as application monitoring, SIEM integration, and latency optimization for enterprises.
